Beam me up, Scotty

James Doohan passed away this morning at his home in Redmond, Washington, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was 85.
As Scotty, James Doohan was both dramatic and funny, and frequently had the most memorable lines from an episode. He had the punchline, for example, in The Trouble With Tribbles:
"I gave them to the Klingons, Sir. Before they went into warp, I transported the whole kit and kaboodle in their engine room, where ther'll be no tribble at all."
His agent said that Jimmy's ashes will be sent into space in accordance with his wishes, beaming up Scotty for the very last time...
